The Mavericks were defeated in both ends of a 7A-Central doubleheader Thursday at Evans Boys and Girls Club.

In the second game, Southside (2-8 in conference) took a 1-0 lead in the second as Kylie Eveld’s RBI single drove in Caitlyn Bagby. But North Little Rock took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth.

Piper Morgan went 2-for-2 in the opening game for the Mavericks.
