Both Southside teams travel to Cabot on Tuesday for 6A-Central games.

The Mavericks are in the midst of a 10-game losing streak. The team is 5-16 overall and 0-8 in the 6A-Central.

Southside led Cabot last month at the half before falling, 72-42. The Panthers blitzed the Mavericks with a 29-point third quarter.


Southside has had some close losses during its losing streak, including back-to-back five-point losses to Catholic and Central.

Cabot (15-6, 3-5) snapped a five-game losing streak last Friday with a 31-29 overtime victory against Catholic.

The Southside girls (0-8 in league play) are seeking their first win since beating Mount St. Mary on Feb. 16, 2018.

Cabot’s Lady Panthers dropped a 30-28 decision to MSM on Friday night, dropping coach Carla Crowder’s squad to 12-7 overall and 3-5 in the 6A-Central.
