Landry Jureka struck out seven and allowed just one hit over six innings Tuesday as Greenwood defeated Southside, 8-1.

The Bulldogs (4-1) took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on Colton Sagely’s RBI double.

River Baker and Caden Brown added RBI singles as part of a four-run fourth. Chance Eoff, who singled ahead of Sagely’s RBI double, capped the inning with a two-run single.

Matthew Moore walked and scored the Mavericks’ lone run on Braiden Partin’s RBI grounder.

Caleb Emmert had Southside’s lone hit leading off the third.

The Mavericks’ Landen Chaffin suffered the loss.
