The Mavericks extended their conference winning streak to eight last week with a win over Cabot. But the 3-2 (22-25, 25-10, 25-19, 16-25, 15-12) comeback helped her team maintain the 6A-Central lead over North Little Rock and Northside, both at 7-2.

The Mavs travel to NLR Tuesday.

Junior phenoms Hannah Hogue and Avery Fitzgerald have enjoyed monster seasons. Hogue fills up the stats sheet every night.

The balanced Mavericks have also gotten key contributions from Bailey Vega (138 kills and 35 blocks); Hayley Hall (28 aces and 62 digs); Kelsey Hamilton (250 digs and 53 assists); Aleigha Johnson (team-high 52 blocks, 26 aces and 133 kills); and Toree Tiffee (171 kills and 19 blocks).
