The Mavericks dropped a 62-40 decision to Little Rock Central Tuesday night.

Elijah York led the Mavericks (5-15, 0-6) with a team-high 12 points.

Southside leading scorer Mykale Franks was held to 10 points.


The Lady Mavericks (0-18, 0-6) lost to Little Rock Central Tuesday, 43-15. The team will face Northside Friday in hopes of snapping a 45-game losing streak.

Friday also caps the first-round of conference play. Southside will open the second round of 6A-Central play Feb. 7 at home against Conway.
